Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TheMarketshop.com is operated by Reality Web Services, LLC (“TheMarketshop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy covers the pages and applications published at themarketshop.com, including the home page and the apps, games, tutorials, blog posts, and projects listed on our Apps & Coding Projects page.

Some products have their own additional policies, and some live on their own domains. Those are listed in Section 12.

2. Tools that run in your browser

A large share of what we publish is built to work without a server. When you use one of these tools, the file you open stays on your own device and is processed by JavaScript running in your browser tab. We never receive the file, and there is no upload step:

• CleanPic — reads EXIF metadata, including GPS coordinates, from a photo and writes a cleaned copy. The photo is never uploaded.
• Social Image Maker (Thumbs) — builds YouTube, Shorts, and Reels thumbnails locally.
• Dropsheet — turns a CSV or Excel file into a dashboard without the data leaving your browser.
• CueFlow Teleprompter — scripts you write or import stay in your browser. No account is required.
• Atlas Motion — renders map zoom animations locally; the video you download is produced on your device.
• Random Student Generator — class and student names are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are not uploaded, and we never receive them. The page has a “Where is my data?” panel that explains this and can erase everything with one click.
• Flash Card Creator, To Do List, Secret Santa Pairing and similar utilities — the content you enter stays in your browser.

Because there is no upload, we cannot see, retrieve, recover, or delete anything you process in these tools. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or switching devices will remove whatever the tool had saved locally.

Browser storage

Some of these tools use your browser's local storage to remember your work between visits — a saved thumbnail layout, a teleprompter script, a class roster, a game's high score or progress. This data is written to your own browser, is readable only by that site on that device, and is not transmitted to us. Local storage, unlike a cookie, is never attached to network requests, so it does not travel to our server. You can clear it at any time through your browser's settings.

Map data in Atlas Motion

Atlas Motion draws its maps using OpenFreeMap and looks up place names using the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service. When you search for a location or pan the map, your browser contacts those services directly, which means they receive your IP address and the location text or map tiles requested. They operate under their own policies. The animation itself is still rendered on your device.

3. Information you choose to give us

Contact form

Our contact page asks for your name, email address, and a message. Submitting the form emails that information to us so we can reply. We keep the resulting correspondence in our email account for as long as it is useful for support and record-keeping.

Accounts in individual apps

Most of the site requires no account. A few applications do offer one — for example Deal Finder Pro, QuizLink Pro, and the food and wellness diary. Where an account exists, we collect what is needed to operate it, which may include your name, email address, a hashed password, and the content you create in that app such as saved searches, quizzes, results, or diary entries. Signing in sets a session cookie so the app can recognize you between page loads.

Location

Deal Finder Pro can ask your browser for your latitude and longitude in order to show nearby stores. This is optional, your browser will prompt you before sharing it, and you can decline or revoke it in your browser settings.

Payments

Where an app sells credits or a subscription, payment is processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's systems and are not stored by us. We receive limited transaction details such as payment status, a session identifier, and what was purchased, so we can apply it to your account.

4. Information collected automatically

Our web host keeps standard server access logs. Like almost every website, these record the IP address making the request, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page, and the browser user-agent string. We use these logs to keep the site running, diagnose errors, understand which pages are being used, and investigate abuse.

We do not run Google Analytics or a comparable behavioral analytics product on the main site.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses a small number of cookies and browser storage mechanisms:

• Session cookies — set only when you sign in to an app that has accounts, so it can keep you signed in.
• Local storage — used by browser-based tools and games to remember your work or progress on your own device, as described above.
• Advertising cookies — set by Google and its advertising partners, described in the next section.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you do, sign-in and some saved-progress features will stop working correctly.

6. Advertising

We display advertising through Google AdSense to help cover hosting costs and keep the tools free. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve, personalize, measure, and cap the frequency of ads, and to detect ad fraud. This may involve information about your visits to this and other websites.

You have direct control over this:

• Manage or turn off ad personalization at Google My Ad Center.
• Review Google's practices in the Google Privacy & Terms page for partner sites.
• Use the industry opt-out tools at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com.

We do not control which specific ads appear, and an ad appearing on our site is not an endorsement.

7. Affiliate links

Some outbound links to retailers are affiliate links, including links placed under the Amazon Associates Program. If you click one and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission. This never increases the price you pay. The retailer, not TheMarketshop, handles your order and your payment details, under its own privacy policy.

8. Third-party services we rely on

Loading a page here may cause your browser to contact these services, which will at minimum receive your IP address and basic request information:

• Google AdSense — advertising.
• Stripe — payment processing in apps that sell credits or subscriptions.
• Google Gemini — powers AI-assisted features in some applications, such as Deal Finder Pro's search. Where a feature sends your input to an AI provider, that provider processes it under its own terms.
• OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap Nominatim — map tiles and place lookup in Atlas Motion.
• YouTube — embedded videos in tutorials and blog posts.
• jsDelivr, cdnjs, and Google Fonts — content delivery networks serving stylesheets, scripts, and fonts.
• Our web host — stores the site files, databases, and server logs.

9. How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the advertising cookies described in Section 6. We share information only:

• with the service providers listed above, to the extent needed to run the site;
• when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process;
• to investigate abuse, fraud, or a security incident, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public; or
• in connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of the site or its assets, in which case this policy would continue to apply to the information transferred.

10. Retention and security

We keep information only as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as required for legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Account content persists until you delete it or ask us to close the account. Server logs rotate on our host's normal schedule.

We use practical safeguards including HTTPS, hashed passwords, and restricted administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some tools here are useful in classrooms. Where a teacher enters student names into a tool such as the Random Student Generator, those names stay in that teacher's own browser and are never sent to us — but the teacher and their school remain responsible for meeting whatever consent and record-keeping rules their institution and applicable law require. On a shared or classroom computer, anyone using the same browser profile can see what was saved, so we recommend erasing it when finished. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Products with their own policies

Several products have separate, more specific policies that govern them, and those control where they differ from this one:

13. Your choices and rights

You can browse nearly all of this site without giving us anything. Beyond that, you can:

• decline location access, or revoke it in your browser;
• block or clear cookies and local storage;
• opt out of personalized advertising using the links in Section 6;
• ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you have given us, or to close an account.

Depending on where you live — for example California, or other states with comprehensive privacy laws — you may have specific statutory rights to know, delete, correct, or opt out. We honor these requests regardless of your location. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within the time your law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The effective date at the top will be updated when a new version is published, and the version posted here applies to current operations.
