We loved Sydney! We were there in May and the weather was beautiful. Below are the hightlights:
- The Rocks: This area is a great spot to walk around and explore the cobblestone streets, historic pubs, and weekend markets tucked right beneath the Harbour Bridge.
- Sydney Harbour Bridge: we signed up for the thrilling Bridge Climb and it did not disappoint. Amazing views!
- Sydney Opera House: this UNESCO World Heritage site is the heart of Sydney's cultural scene. We took a tour and thought it was very well done, but you can save some money and still get great views from Mrs Macquarie's point for free. Walking around the Harbor/ Opera house area is a great activity. It's beautiful and there are plenty of shops and cafes.
- Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk: This is a spectacular 3 mile clifftop trail featuring dramatic ocean views, hidden rock pools, and beaches. This reminded me of Western Ireland. It is a great activity if the weather is nice. I also recommend strolling the Bondi beach area.
- Ferry to Manly: Affordable and fun way to view the harbor and see some of the local beach spots. For around $8.70 AUD, catch the public ferry from Circular Quay to Manly Beach. Bring a camera.
